Join us at The Golden Apple Tour
Now is the time to make plans for Labor Day weekend 2012. We hope you include the Golden Apple Tour.
Folks from out of town can take the train to Golden's Bridge on the day of the ride, camp at beautiful Pound Ridge Reservation or stay in one of the many welcoming Bed and Breakfasts nearby. Bicycle mechanics will be available at the start, as well as touring the route for your safety and support.
Our main route, the Golden Apple, is a century (100mi) ride, almost entirely in Westchester County. We are also offering a totally separate route, The Candy Apple, much of it on the North County Trailway, for those wanting a short ride. For those wanting something in between, we have created routes of either 45 or 70 miles. These split off the century route, offering riders the opportunity to change their minds during the ride. For those wanting a super challenge, we have the Dirty Apple- a 60 mile roubaix style route. For competitors, we are offering the Hill Climb Time Trial again this year.
